NCOC Recommends Early Extended School Winter Vacations

NCOC Recommendations

A meeting of all provincial education ministers has been scheduled for November 16 to discuss the coronavirus situation in the education sector.
The recommendation was made after the National Command and Operations Center (NCOC) noted that “the positive rate in educational institutions is increasing” and emphasized that this trend must be stopped.
The NCOC statement said: “Considering the rising positive rate, the forum recommends early and extended school winter vacation to reduce the impact of disease transmission and ensure the safety and health of students.”

Earlier, the Ministers of Education decided to keep Pakistan’s schools open and cancelled the winter vacation to make up for the time wasted to contain the coronavirus pandemic during the initial lock-in period.
The next meeting of all education ministers was originally scheduled to be held in December, but in view of the increase in coronavirus cases, NCOC recommended that the education ministers meet on November 16, and decided to advance and extend the school winter vacation to reduce the coronavirus in educational institutions Spread.
